Junior Golf

OCN encourages juniors to play golf and enjoy all that we have to offer through a variety of programs.  We believe that golf is the game of a lifetime that can be shared across generations, with family and friends.  Golf teaches life lessons that last a lifetime, such as; courtesy, etiquette, honesty, integrity, and respect.  The game of golf also offers unique opportunities for business, entertainment, socializing and networking that leads to a more fulfilling life.  When coupling these benefits with walking and enjoying the health aspects of the game, golf provides more benefits than any other sporting activity.

Tooth Short Course
The Tooth course is a great facility to introduce a junior to playing the game on an actual golf course.  With shorter length holes and a variety of terrain and hazards, Tooth offers a challenging, yet less intimidating golf experience.  There are seven par 3’s and tow short par 4’s that have the same design qualities as our championship courses

 Junior Pricing: $5.00 per 9-holes
             $10.00 unlimited for the day
             Free with accompanying, paying adult, anytime!

Junior passes are valid for unlimited play on Tooth and are available for the following periods:
 
 June-August $49
 Full Year       $99

*Juniors designated as 16 years old and under.
*Juniors must present a valid drivers license in order to operate a golf car.
*Above pricing does not include optional golf car.

Panther Lake and Crooked Cat
OCN’s two award winning championship courses offer more skilled juniors the chance to measure themselves against the same layouts that the PGA TOUR hosts their Qualifying tournaments on.  We allow walking on these courses and extend special pricing and programs to encourage juniors to play these beautiful and challenging courses.

Complimentary Play
One junior can play as our guest  when accompanied by a paying adult during the following times:
 365 days a year – twilight times
 5/15-9/15 Monday through Friday anytime; Saturday – twilight; Sunday after 11:00 a.m.

Reduced Pricing
For starting times falling outside of the above windows, we extend these discounts listed below all year round.

Junior Rental Clubs
Rental sets for juniors to play golf are available in a variety of lengths.  Cost is per set is $8.00 plus tax.

Junior Tournaments at OCN
Throughout the year, OCN hosts a variety of golf tournaments, hosted by various organizations.  The skill level will vary with the event, for insight into which one may be most suitable for your junior, please contact our professional staff.

Practice Facility
There is no better place to help your junior learn how to swing the club.  Our practice facility is among the finest in the world, offering high quality practice balls, quality turf, a large selection of target greens and an assortment of bunkers, pitching/chipping areas and putting greens.

Juniors receive discounts of 25% on all of our practice ball and practice plan pricing for their personal use.  All of our short game facilities are always available by all players at no extra charge.

Instruction/Scholarship Program
Our new Youth Scholarship Golf Program is for juniors between the ages of 7-16 who live in Orange County.  This complimentary program will offer juniors an opportunity to learn basic rules, etiquette and the fundamentals of playing golf.  We will provide a series of five sessions with a Skills Competition during the final class of each series.

Price:  Complimentary – All of the Instruction, range balls and equipment are at no charge.

Date and Time:
Five Sundays from 2:00pm – 3:30pm. Classes will be on July 25, August 1, 8, 15 and 22nd.

Classes: 
Each series of classes will be available to 10 students. We ask that the students commit to attend all five classes and must complete "homework" assignments between sessions. Each student selected will receive a Range Pass valid for personal use of the driving range and walking on the Tooth our 9-hole course for the duration on the program plus 30 days after at no cost.

The program will cover:
Enjoyment of the Game, Rules and Etiquette, Chipping, Pitching, Bunker Play, Putting, Short, Mid and Long Irons, Fairway Woods and Drivers with a skills challenge on our 5th and last class.

At the completion of the program each student will receive a certificate that they passed the course. Skills contest winners will also receive prizes.
